This last weekend I had the chance to go to a local Taiko (Japanese drumming) event here in Miyakojima. The group was lead by a professional taiko team and other participants of all ages from young kids to adults.

The event was also connected to Spain (I’m sure why) via Skype where a taiko group there also played a long. I hope you enjoy the video.

This last Sunday everything just seemed to work out perfectly. The rain let up and the sun came out, it was a very low tide, and so we headed out to visit “The Pumpkin Cave”. A cave to which the entrance is usually underwater and can only be entered during very low tide.

Inside there is a waterfall that has created some unique rock formations resembling a pumpkin. Okay, enough talk already. Here’s the video!
