Yes, we all make mistakes. But if it was truly a mistake, and you are truly sorry, then a heart filled apology (as in Seth Godin’s latest blog “Ouch“) is a great way to let the person or customer know. Since no one ever seems to say sorry or thank you any more, it is amazing how effective it really can be. Most people will be more impressed by someone who says sorry than someone who acts like they didn’t do anything wrong. With so little honesty left, people will go out of their way to thank you for it.
