Tesla motors started regular production on the Tesla Roadster. This could prove to be a turning point for the auto world showing that people are willing to by electric cars. The current model is designed as a high end sports car that has better performance than a Ferrari , but runs completely on electric. They are planning for the next model to be a 4 door luxury sedan, and then following that up with a lower cost sedan for the masses. You can read the press release here.
